What Business Opportunities Does the Enterprise Center Provide?

August 3, 2022 11:28 am

If you’ve ever walked past the Enterprise Center on the campus of Salem State University, you may wonder exactly what goes on inside our doors. You may have heard that we are an entrepreneurial hub, a business resource center, or a place for professionals to seek out help for their emerging or growing businesses.

In each instance, you would be right. But let’s take some time to go over what the Enterprise Center does and how we can help you as a student and eventually as a professional in the business world. Our programs, workshops, and center itself is a hub of activity that has a wide range of business resources to help get you started or help you grow your business.

The Enterprise Center

The Enterprise Center is located in the heart of academia and is a 53,000-square-foot building that houses planning rooms, meeting rooms, workspaces, and office space for lease to North Shore businesses.

Easily accessible from the campus, we offer open door hours for questions and meetings as well as business resources for small to medium size businesses in our region.

Enterprise Center Programs

In addition to offering space for your business to meet, plan, hold workshops, or ask questions of other experienced business professionals, we also offer programs on a regular basis.

Here are a few of our programs.

  • CEO Groups meet once a month for three hours. During this time 8-10 business owners confer with a professional facilitator to help solve problems and take action to manage and overcome ongoing business issues. This group is confidential and has three levels of involvement: Established CEO, Solopreneur, and Million Dollar CEO. Choose the level that is right for you and your business.
  • The Million Dollar Women Symposium is meant to empower women at all stages of business no matter where they came from and no matter how different they may think.  This annual symposium showcases “Million Dollar Women”— those women who started companies and have grown them to exceed one million dollars in gross revenues.
  • The North of Boston Business Plan Competition is an annual competition with cash prize awards for businesses who find value in writing a business plan and improving on it.
  • Small Businesses Technical Assistance is designed to address ongoing technical services that businesses find necessary, especially during and after this COVID-19 pandemic.

Our programs also include workshops and speaker series that touch on relevant business topics facing small and medium-sized businesses in today’s economy.

Resources

Along with our programs, we also have many resources for professionals building their businesses including our blog, audio casts, newsletters, and local and regional business partnerships.

Our calendar is constantly being updated for programs, workshops, and resources that our professionals will find useful to the growth and development of their businesses.

Questions, comments, or just want to reach out regarding one of our programs or workshops? We’d love to talk with you! Drop in or use our short form to contact one of our representatives.
