Mel Jiganti

Mel Jiganti is the founding Clinic Director for Northeast Legal Aid’s Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. Prior to opening NLA LITC, Mel practiced Corporate Finance and Transactions at Capman and Cutler and Wiley Rien & Fielding before joining the in-house counsel teams at PPL and Brookfield Renewable Power. His experience as in-house counsel led him to business roles as both a Chief Development Officer and Chief Executive Officer, where he grew annual revenue from $20M in less than 2 years. Mel really enjoys solving business and legal issues and helping clients thrive. Mel received his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Notre Dame and has lived in the Boston area for over 20 years.
