Lisa Sutton
Founder/Owner - Kitchen Local, LLC

Lisa Sutton is the Founder and Owner of Kitchen Local, the North Shore's first commercial shared-use kitchen, filling a niche for small-scale food producers by providing around-the-clock modern, affordable, convenient, and permitted kitchen workspace. Kitchen Local opened for business in early 2013 and has over 25 participant food businesses.
There are only five such commercial kitchens in Massachusetts and less than an estimated one-hundred and seventy-five throughout the United States. Kitchen Local is being hailed as a model by the Massachusetts Department of Small Business and Entrepreneurship and viewed as a critical first step toward expanding and supporting the local food economy on the North Shore.
Prior to launching Kitchen Local, Lisa’s 20-year career in both the private and non-profit disability management areas of vocational counseling, business development, fundraising and community engagement, prepared her well for her present role as a mentor, coach, strategist and foodpreneur advocate. She will tell you that she is exactly where she should be: helping to create opportunities and jobs by passionately supporting foodpreneurs and locally-produced food products.
Lisa is a member of the Les Dames d’Escoffier, Northeast Chapter and was the 2013 recipient of the Amesbury Chambery of Commerce Trailblazer Award.
