Joel Sowalsky

Joel Sowalsky has been a business lawyer for over 30 years and has been providing General Counsel services to businesses for nearly 20 years. He has worked with companies in a wide range of industries, including construction, banking/finance, medical, travel, food service, telecommunications, textiles, non-profits, international commerce, real estate and government. He also has served on the Boards of Directors of several companies, both profit and non-profit, and on the Governing Board of the American Bar Association’s Forum Committee on the Construction Industry.

Immediately prior to joining DailyGC™, Mr. Sowalsky worked for five years as Vice Chairman and General Counsel of Environmental Interiors, a national construction company. Mr. Sowalsky began his legal career as a staff attorney for the Toledo (Ohio) Legal Aid Society, advancing to the position of Managing Attorney. After moving to Boston in 1979, he accepted an Associate position with the Boston law firm of Roche, Carens and DeGiacomo (n/k/a Murtha Cullina LLP), where he became a Partner in 1987 and stayed until 1992. In 1993, he was a founding partner of the Boston law firm of Smith & Sowalsky (n/k/a Smith, Segel & Ruddock), where he remained until 2007.
