As Chief People Officer of Windover Construction, Inc., Hannah Ginley is dedicated to the company’s core purpose of building great things with great people. Windover creates state-of-the-art commercial and institutional spaces, urban multi-family communities, and select custom homes. As a 100% employee-owned firm, Windover is differentiated by its people and its focus on providing exceptional experiences for clients and all team partners from project inception to completion.
Hannah attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where she studied psychology and became very interested in special education. She then transferred to Boston University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and certification to teach students with severe and multiple disabilities. Hannah spent the early years of her career teaching in a transitional classroom, then ventured into corporate training and online documentation, and ultimately found her passion in administrative management and employee development.
Just before joining Windover, Hannah was the Administrative Manager for Professor Michael E. Porter’s renowned Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at the Harvard Business School. There, Hannah remained dedicated to extending the research pioneered by Professor Porter and disseminating it to scholars and practitioners on a global basis. She coordinated directly and consistently with the Institute administrative and research staff, faculty, the Offices of the Dean, Finance, Human Resources, and Research Services to ensure the efficient operation of all administrative functions, personnel management, and adherence to University protocol.
Drawn to Windover’s unique collaborative culture, Hannah joined the company in 2010. As Chief People Officer, Hannah appreciates that great people create great business value. Nurturing, enabling, and empowering employees to achieve their highest potential is her consistent focus. Hannah thrives on developing innovative strategies to best identify, attract, engage, and retain the talent needed to drive growth and facilitate change for the company through a focus on its people. Ever passionate about Windover’s culture – its values, ethics, and mission – Hannah is a strategist who aligns organizational design, coaching and development, and the implementation of learning and training programs to the company’s core values.
Hannah’s contributions to Windover have been numerous and notable including the development of a Construction Management Apprenticeship Program, the company’s transition to an Employee Stock Ownership Program, and the formation and leadership of a very active and results-driven Social Sustainability Committee focused on helping women, children, and families in need; enhancing and supporting educational programs; assisting with local military & service initiatives; and broadening and sharing understanding of and sensitivity to the environment.
Enthusiastic about giving back to the community, Hannah appreciates the impact that volunteering has on strengthening communities. She is a newly appointed board member of the North Shore Chamber of Commerce. She has been involved with and continues to support organizations such as the American Red Cross, Pathways for Children, Wellspring House, North Shore United Way, and the Essex County Community Foundation.
A classically trained ballerina, Hannah keeps her love of dance alive by teaching an adult dance program in Marblehead in her spare time. She is also the proud mother of son, Kyle, daughter, Meagan, and son-in-law, Justin Kurtz. She and her partner, Tony Sanchez, live in Salem where they delight in their grandchildren, Harper, age 6 and Boden, age 3.
