Carol Oldham
Carol Oldham joined the Business Network in 2022 as its Northeast Director. She works with members and supply chain companies in the region, focused on outreach and supply chain training to historically underrepresented communities in Massachusetts and the surrounding region.
Prior to joining the Network, Carol consulted on policy and public affairs for offshore wind developers, and advocated for municipal, state, and regional policies focused on achieving zero emissions goals in Massachusetts and New England. From helping draft a visionary building stretch code to working with communities on Net Zero community-wise plans, Carol’s focus has been effective policies that make communities more livable, equitable, and climate-friendly.
Carol served as the executive director of the Massachusetts Climate Action Network (MCAN) from 2014 to 2020. She joined MCAN after nearly a decade working on climate and clean energy for national environmental organizations, including the Sierra Club and the National Wildlife Federation. She has managed regional campaigns, staff, and consultants and has focused on influencing federal climate change policy and increasing our use of clean energy from the pueblos of New Mexico to the towns and cities of New England.
Carol holds an M.B.A. in policy and planning from the University of New Mexico and a B.A. in theater from Bennington College. Currently, she lives in Boston with her husband, dog, and two cats. She enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, and is a certified Wildlife Rehabilitator in Massachusetts.
