Associate Director of Public Outreach and Education
Massachusetts Health Connector
Niki Conte joined the Massachusetts Health Connector in December of 2006 soon after the passage of Massachusetts Health Care Reform and the creation of the organization.
She initially served as the Director of Outreach for the Commonwealth Care program, the state’s subsidized insurance plan that served over 175,000 members. In that role, she worked to develop communication strategies to engage both new and existing members.
As the Health Connector transitioned to an ACA compliant exchange, Niki’s role transformed. As the Associate Director of Public Outreach and Education, she helped develop and implement strategies to effectively transition consumers into their ACA compliant plans available on MAhealthconnector.org.
Since then, Niki continues to work on Health Connector outreach initiatives that engage and inform potential new members and stakeholder groups about the changes and opportunities for health insurance coverage available through the Massachusetts Health Connector - now including the new Health Connector for Business platform.

As Health Connector for Business membership has grown, Chaitra’s role has transitioned to Associate Director of Health Connector for Business. She currently oversees the direction and coordination of the small business health and dental insurance products, focused on membership growth and retention.
