Speaker: Judy Kalisker, Principal, Compliance Plus, LLC
Judy S. Kalisker is the Founder and Principal of Compliance Plus, a company that provides outsourced human resources services to employers of all sizes. She has over twenty-five years of experience in employment law and human resources compliance, providing legal advice, conducting internal workplace investigations, and helping managers and human resources professionals balance employee rights and business needs. She has designed and delivered thousands of interactive, customized training sessions for managers and HR professionals on all aspects of employee relations, including skills for effective, non-discriminatory interviewing and performance management.
Judy has conducted hundreds of workplace investigations of complex matters, including alleged discrimination, harassment, retaliation, financial and expense reporting irregularities, time card fraud, and Title IX sexual misconduct investigations for educational institutions, including high school and higher education. Since 2000, Ms. Kalisker has volunteered on the faculty of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination’s annual training for Equal Employment Opportunity (“EEO”) professionals, including design and delivery of a two-day module on skills for effective internal EEO investigations.
Prior to founding Compliance Plus in 2013, Ms. Kalisker worked for a law firm defending employers in litigation matters and spent almost ten years as a leader in the compliance function of two companies, each with more than 25,000 employees. She has developed protocol for effective compliance investigations and led a team conducting complex, internal investigations.
Ms. Kalisker has been a member of the Adjunct Faculty of Boston University School of Management since 2011. She teaches Introduction to Business Law and Employment Law for graduate and undergraduate business school students.
Ms. Kalisker received her bachelor’s degree in government from Cornell University and a J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School.
