Human Resource Skills Certificate Program

This certificate program consists of four modules that will give you the concepts and principles you need to hone your business knowledge and help you implement effective practices in the business world. This program will provide valuable skills to transition employees into new management positions, and help them build a foundation for success. Managers and supervisors, who would like a basic skills refresher, will also benefit from this program. Modules may be taken individually, and in any order, for those not seeking a certificate. In this program, you will learn about groups and teams, decision-making processes, conflict management within the organization, communication styles, channels, organizational structure and culture. Participants will learn how to perform a job analysis and job redesign.

Learn how to help employees find meaning in their jobs and stay on course, how to maximize employee input and participation during an appraisal, how to maintain positive communication about expectations versus performance, and how to follow up on agreements reached.

Learn the critical ideas of employee retention using the Three Rs of employee Retention – Respect, Recognition and Rewards – as the basis for any program designed to keep people interested and engaged.
