kitchen of a chinese restaurantThe Enterprise Center is pleased to announce a partnership with the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (Food and Standards Division), the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (Food Protection Program), and the Northeast Food & Drug Officials Association to provide a Food Recall Train-the-Trainer Seminar.
Background on the Grant:
The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection received a grant to provide food recall training to firms in Connecticut and the region through collaborative partnerships. The mission of the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection is to ensure a fair and equitable marketplace as well as safe products and services for consumers in the industries that it regulates.
What the Training involves:
Through the Train-the-Trainer Food Safety and Recall Learning Modules, the Connecticut DCP would like to enhance food recall competencies amongst industry representatives. The goal of the program is to assist firms with  food recall guidance to include best practices, terminology, and instruction on food recall policy, response plans, strategies, and partnerships for food safety.  There is a $25 fee for this event.

Lisa Fluker

Lisa Fluker is a Certified Trainer with the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, having trained in different areas of leadership and risk management for over 25 years. I provide organizational and programmatic assessment and develop contextual and interactive content for seminars, lectures and workshops across the country. I am a certified True Colors instructor and hold a Masters of Science degree in Organizational Leadership.
