(This class is also part of the Business Management Skills Certificate Program – Part II)
Setting up systems and processes are an important part of running a small business,
even for sole proprietors. Documenting your daily operations in a business operations
manual creates systems, consistency and value in your business. A well-written manual,
also serves as a great training tool.
There are a variety of ways to set up a business manual. In this 4-hour class, you’ll learn:
• Why a manual is important to running your business
• How to document your day-to-day processes
• How to set-up your manual and which key elements are a must
• How to create checklists
• Resources and tools to use in your manual
• How to best use your manual
• How to keep your processes and procedures updated
Disorganization can be costly to a business. Setting up processes will help increase
productivity, save time and will eliminate misunderstandings among employees
regarding their responsibilities. Most important, a manual will help you maintain the
quality of business you have worked so hard to create.
