This seminar will provide you with information to identify certain legal issues related to contracts and employees. Specifically, we will discuss the anatomy of a contract so that you are able to identify key terms and provisions commonly found in contracts and commercial leases. By understanding key terms in a contract, you will gain a better appreciation of their rights and liabilities.
As your business grows, so does your work force. We will discuss some of the legal issues associated with employees and the use of independent contractors. This will be a lively discussion engaging everyone in a discussion of the differences between employees and independent contractors, and the costly error that occurs when a business misclassifies an employee.
