This certificate program consists of four modules that will give you the concepts and principles you need to hone your business knowledge and help you implement effective practices in the business world. This program will provide valuable skills to transition employees into new management positions, and help them build a foundation for success. Managers and supervisors, who would like a basic skills refresher, will also benefit from this program. Modules may be taken individually, for those not seeking a certificate. FUNDAMENTALS OF LEADERSHIP FOR FIRST-TIME SUPERVISORS AND MANAGERS (FULL-DAY)
In this one-day program, you will learn critical leadership skills so that you are able to step forward with confidence as a leader in your organization. You will develop practical, necessary skills such as managing your time well, communicating effectively, and delegating work to others. You will also learn what great leaders know: how to hire the right people, how to facilitate productive meetings and handle conflicts among team members, and how to coach people to give their best job performance. This program is intended for the employee transitioning to a leadership or supervisory role, as well as senior managers and supervisors who seek advanced training in organizational leadership.

This course will assist you in understanding and implementing strategies that will help to manage conflict effectively. On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: develop skills to assess a conflict situation and monitor their reaction to the conflict; utilize effective communication techniques to manage conflict in a proactive manner, and resolve conflict through identifying its source, and determining and implementing the best solution.

ORGANIZATIONAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS FOR LEADERS
This program was designed to familiarize you with the art of communicating. You will earn to understand the importance of interpersonal skills in becoming a leader, be able to convey believability by keeping verbal, vocal, and visual communications consistent, practice the nine behavioral skills of interpersonal communication, and change your habits to improve interpersonal effectiveness. This program is valuable whether you are currently in a leadership role, or hope to be a leader in the future.

TIME MANAGEMENT (HALF-DAY, CHOOSE AM OR PM SESSION)
Time is a form of currency, and TIME IS MONEY! In this half-day session (am or pm session) you will acquire day-to-day time-management tools that will help you more effectively use your time so you can direct your energy towards fulfilling your short and long-term professional and personal goals. By identifying improved time management and organizational skills, you, too, can use your time and energy effectively, focusing your efforts on the activities that will help you reach your goals. BONUS: you will create and action plan for your time-management process and identify ways to evaluate and improve your efforts.
