Laura Kevghas

Laura is a partner at Mirus Capital Advisors, where she focuses on providing merger and acquisition services to middle market companies in the technology, business services and industrial spaces. She has spent more than 25 years in M&A, with a background that includes both investment banking and corporate development. Having sat on both sides of the negotiating table has given Laura a very unique perspective, which informs her negotiating, structuring and due diligence activities on behalf of her clients.

Over her career, Laura has completed more than 60 transactions, including the sale of companies in the business services, software, manufacturing and defense/government services sectors, along with the acquisition of numerous companies in the media space. Laura is President of the Boston chapter of The Exit Planning Exchange, and a member of The Boston Club and Vistage. Her article "Thinking About Cashing Out? How to Create Value in Your Business" has been featured in The Commonwealth Institute online e-newsletter and her published piece titled "Help! Someone Wants to Buy My Company" in the Boston Women's Business newspaper.

Laura has been a speaker on topics including “Preparing Your Company for Sale,” “The State of the Mergers & Acquisitions Market,” “An Investment Banker’s View on Increasing Opportunity and Reducing Risk,” “What’s Behind the Curtain, aka What’s the Difference Between Business Brokers and Investment Bankers and What Do They Do” and “Due Diligence Disasters” for groups of business owners, early-stage entrepreneurs and professional service providers.

Dennis Albano

Dennis Albano is a partner in the New England practice of Newport Board Group, a unique national professional services firm of CEOs and senior executives who advise emerging growth companies and assist private equity to acquire and grow such companies. Dennis has had impressive accomplishments as a CEO of companies ranging from start-ups to large divisions of public corporations. His capabilities include identifying and exploiting market opportunities; commercializing technologies; raising capital; building strategic partnerships and scaling business operations.

Dennis was until recently CEO of Zixi, Inc., a breakthrough software service for live video delivery that enables high-quality IP video transport over the Internet to any device, anywhere. There he doubled the company’s valuation and landed key media industry leaders as partners. Before that Dennis was CEO of Signiant, an Internet technology start-up company spun out of Nortel. His leadership helped the company to reposition itself as a first of a kind media content delivery application. He grew the business from re-start to cash flow positive; raised $35 million in venture capital and won recognition as a market leader.

Earlier in his career Dennis held a number of leadership positions with other technology companies in sectors including communications monitoring and information appliances. Dennis spent 14 years with Compaq/Digital Equipment, rising to VP of Sales and Marketing for the Workstations Division in North America.

Brent Mathews

Brent is a Business Development Officer with PNC Business Credit, part of PNC Bank, the sixth largest bank in the U.S., providing senior secured credit facilities to companies with $20MM or more in revenue. Before becoming a lender, Brent worked as a front line supervisor for Kimberly Clark manufacturing Huggies diapers and served four years in the U.S. Army as an Infantry and Signal Corps officer. Brent lives in Norwood, MA with his wife and three children.

Todd Ofenloch

Todd is a Principal in the Boston office of H.I.G. Capital. Since joining the firm in 2009, he has been responsible for evaluating and executing new investment opportunities, as well as working with certain existing portfolio companies. Todd has over 13 years of experience investing in middle market private equity transactions and has worked on investments in a broad range of industries, including building products, business services, food and consumer products, media and marketing services, environmental services and distribution/logistics. He currently serves on the boards of several H.I.G. portfolio companies.

Prior to H.I.G., Todd was an investment professional at Parthenon Capital Partners, GTCR, and The Halifax Group. He began his career as an investment banker at Lazard Frères, specializing in mergers & acquisitions advisory services. Todd graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Accountancy (CPA) and received an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Keith Boudreau

Keith’s career highlights include having played a founding role in the Deutsche Bank (now GE Capital) multi-billion dollar technology finance business and turning around a failing 220 employee commercial leasing business, which was subsequently sold to Wells Fargo Bank for a $163 Million premium.

Keith was Area General Manager for Deutsche Bank Financial Services, where he had P&L responsibility for all commercial lending operations and led 150 employees generating finance activity amounting to $4 Billion annually. He negotiated acquisition of Carrier Distribution Credit Corp. from United Technologies and led the subsequent rapid growth of the acquired company. He has also been an executive coach and consultant to middle market business owners, providing guidance in all areas of business management, with particular emphasis on growth strategies and leadership best practices.
