Who better to help than another Executive Director who understands the issues and has experienced the challenges of running a non-profit organization?

Our Executive Director Groups are confidential monthly breakfast meetings where Executive Directors can share challenges and exchange ideas.  Each group has between 8 and 12 Executive Directors of similarly experienced non-competing organizations that are facing similar challenges running a non-profit organization. Peer groups are one of the most effective ways of solving problems and avoiding pitfalls that many organizations face.

The Enterprise Center has three CEO Groups---The Emerging Executive Director Group (less than 3 years experience),  the Established Executive Director Group (more than 3 years experience) and the Million Dollar Executive Director Group (over a million dollars in yearly revenue). Groups meet once per month at the Enterprise Center and meetings are facilitated by an experienced leader to help guide Executive Directors in their particular business needs. All members are required to sign a confidentiality agreement so that the discussions can be open.

  • Enterprise Executive Director Groups are offered only to Executive Directors of non-profit organizations.
  • Participants are expected to make a serious commitment to attending the monthly morning meetings. 
  • All meetings will be held at the Enterprise Center and include breakfast.
  • All meetings will be facilitated by a business expert.
  • The group commits to absolute confidentiality.  What is discussed inside the room is not discussed outside the room.
  • Once a group has formed (usually 2 months) the group is closed for the remainder of the year. 

 The goal is to build a climate of mutual trust and openness that enables all members to fully utilize the strengths of the group members.  All meetings are confidential.

 Process:

  • Each month all participants check in for five minutes each with any pressing problems or challenges—or triumphs.
  • Time for group discussion at the end of the check in period.
  • Each month one of the businesses makes a presentation of their business followed by feedback from the group including suggestions and referrals. This takes  1.5 to 2 hours.
  • Guest Speakers are invited to talk about particular issues at the request of the group.

Cost:

  • $350 per year, two installments—emerging group
  • $650 per year, two installments—established group
  • $850 per year, two installments—million dollar ceo group
